In his first IFC fraternity rush as Vice President of Recruitment, Michael Welch was flawless. Thanks to his leadership and overall charisma, the Beta Iota Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau associated 20 new members into the spring 2010 Omicron associate class. This class easily surpassed this year's IFC fraternity average associate class total of 8-12 members and only 2 members behind the largest class, Pi Kappa Alpha, who had 22 new members.
Before this rush, Phi Kappa Tau was the 5th largest fraternity on FSU's campus with 116 active members behind PiKe (196), Sigma Chi (135), Lambda Chi (133), and Theta Chi (132). The average chapter size for IFC fraternities is approximately 82 members. Including the associates, Beta Iota's active member total jumps to 136!
There's no doubt that Phi Kappa Tau will continue to grow as one of the most elite fraternities on campus. HOORAH AND DAMN PROUD!
